About FAME:
The 94th Florida Annual Meeting and Exposition (FAME) conference is organized by the Florida Local Section of the American Chemical Society (FLACS), with participation from the other five Local Sections in Florida.
Last year’s conference involved technical symposia covering a wide range of sub-disciplines, including Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, Chemical Education, Computational Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Polymer Chemistry. Last year, we also debuted the Emerging Young Investigator Symposium, which highlighted the work of three emerging independent scholars in Florida.
The 2018 meeting will begin in the afternoon of Thursday, May 3 with a variety of workshop offerings for participants. There will be poster sessions Thursday and Friday evening, with talks scheduled during the day on Friday and Saturday.
