Abstract | Gold redox catalysis was paid far less attention than carbophilic Au(I) Lewis acid catalysis due to the high oxidation potential between Au(I) and Au(III), which needs the help of strong oxidant. Hereby, we found this highly efficient and stereoselective thioallylation of alkynes with no need of external strong oxidant such as selectfluor and hypervalent iodine reagent. Gold, in this reaction, acts as π-acid to achieve the gold redox catalysis, which is challenging for alkyne due to the competing Au(I) activation. |
